Jerry Newport is a licensed professional clinical counselor with supervision endorsement. He was educated at Capital and Wright State Universities and has had a lengthy and varied career in mental health, beginning as a music therapist. He is an accomplished guitarist/singer and has played many area venues as well as venues in Ireland, France, and the Dominican Republic. He is married to Su-Ann Newport, an advanced practice nurse in psychiatry. They have three children, and four grandchildren.
