Kim Plinovich is a Licensed Massage Therapist in practice since 1997. She is a 2020 graduate from Sinclair Community College, graduating with honors and on the Dean’s List, with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She has over 1000 hours of massage training including studies at Lifestream Massage School in Napa, CA from July 1997 through October of 2003 as well as continuing education courses from other schools and teachers. She is a Reiki Master since training in 2002-2005. In November of 1997, Kim studied LaStone Therapy from Mary Hannigan, LMT, the founder of hot stone therapy. In 2006, while working at Auberge Du Soleil in Napa Valley, she studied under Elaine Marie, one of the founders of Watsu, and got certified and practiced Aquatic Massage for 3 years. She trained and was certified to practice Thai Massage in 2007.
In the summer of 2008 she studied Interpretive Touch under Brad Drummer. In 2008, she also trained under Tara Grodjesk and Linda Murphy for Ayurvedic Principles and Philosophy, Shirodhara, Abhyanga, and Marma Chikitsa. In previous experiences she practiced Shirodhara and Abhyanga for two other spas that had in house training before Tara’s training and certification program. In September of 2008 she was certified in Crystal Light Therapy, studying under Patricia Jean EdgeHuff, the founder of this modality.
Kim was certified with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork from 2005-2015 and has been Licensed to work as a Massage Therapist in Ohio since 2011. As a lifelong learner, she continues to be a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and will graduate from Antioch Midwest with a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature and Creative Writing in May 2022.
